Aaja Aaja Main Hoon Pyar Tera – Teesri Manzil

Every time I see this song, I enjoy it thoroughly.

Both Shammi Kapoor & Asha Parekh have put life into this song. Although at some point, Asha looks more like a witch. But the dance moves are so much fun. There’s nothing cheap about it. Even they have said so much by their eyes...Amazing! And who will not come when you're gonna make such exotic moves :P

Needless to say, but it has been sung very nicely by Rafi & Asha Bhosle. This song is full of life.

I like this attitude to some extent:

“Mera khayal tumein hai, main abhi yehi jaana
Sacha hai pyar kay jhoota, yeh hai mujhay azmaana.”

Par bohat ziada azmaaish thi is case mein. I don’t think it’s right to take anyone for granted for that long but some people think it’s their right to be cruel. In the song 'O Mere Sona Re Sona,' the hero says, 'Yeh saaza tum bhool na jana, pyaar ko thokar mat lagana, kay chala jaunga mein na jaane kahan.'

Anyhow how sweet on the part of Shammi Kapoor to say this:

“Tum pay hazaron ki aankhen chahye tumko sahara.”

So don't take such people for granted unless you are a confirmed asshole or bitch. No one waits forever & no one has the nerves to put up with childish games & idiotic hints for the rest of his life. Feel good that someone gives importance to such little things, cause you may not know how long will it last.

Anyway, I totally love Shammi Kapoor in this song. There is just no one like him in Bollywood. We really miss him.

Samunder Mein Naha Kay – Pukar

I saw this song long time ago & when I saw it again this weekend, I was literally amused. I actually had a different kind of memory, which wasn't so bad.

I think Zeenat Aman looks stunning & she’s the only one who has given the right kind of expressions. She is just too sexy.

I believe the direction sucks big time. Amitabh was truly excited & he just couldn’t do justice. The dance moves are really funny.

Those still scenes are even more pathetic. What the hell was the director thinking?

I had to listen to this song twice to understand the lyrics. The voice is not that clear. The song is not that amazing or sexy.

Anyhow, Zeenat Aman is the best thing about this song.

But do watch the song, it is sure to make you laugh.

Don’t worry, be happy – Toofan

Well I haven’t seen this movie but I’ve heard this song gazillion times along with Zara & Tariq. As it is obvious this song has been sung by Amitabh himself. Both Farooque Shaikh & Amitabh have given fabulous expressions.

I think it’s the entire truth:

“Baahar hai problem, ghar me hai problem
Aage peeche aazoo bazoo problem hee problem”

It’s so cute when he says:

“Dhakka mukki kaahe ko
Chipka chipki kaahe ko!”

They have even given a million dollar tip in the song:

“Parivaar control karo
Do ke baad bas karo!”

And I love this one…they were so damn convincing:

“Arre TV video bahut hua
Sabke sar mein dard hua
Ticket kata cinema jaa
Aayega bara mazaa”

Big screen is definitely more fun.

I think this is a very cute, funny song. I've always enjoyed listening to it & watching it has been all the more fun.

Dilip Kumar looks so stunning

Well Dilip Kumar has been my all time favourite actor.

And in this pic he looks really beautiful. It’s from the movie Andaz. I haven’t seen it cause I don’t like Raj Kapoor.

I don’t think it would be incorrect to say that Dilip Kumar happens to be the best thing in India. Amazing actor! His dialogue delivery is too good. And I don’t know anyone who has so much charm.

Two beautiful women

Zeenat Aman & Parveen Babi have been two of my favourites. I think they were both very stunning, sexy & beautiful women. And I don’t think Bollywood has produced anyone like them.

Actually I posted these two pictures on Speak Your Mind while I was talking about sexy women & the never ending stupid trend. You know now Samantha Brick & Sarah Barge are the kind of women who think they are beautiful. In fact there are too many ordinary looking women who have assumed that they are extremely beautiful. Although we just can’t see anything at all.

What makes ladies like Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi much above them is the fact that they never called themselves beautiful! They were too humble. And people still remember them just how we remember Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Lauren & other attractive ladies.

Yeh Kya Hua – Amar Prem

I have seen Amar Prem a couple of times while I was a kid & I think it’s an amazing movie that portrays the decadence of human values & how they judge humans. In this movie, a prostitute worries more about somebody else’s child & that’s touching & even that boy never forgets her. And you know the society is responsible to a great extent for creating prejudices & that was the reason why Sharmila Tagore stops meeting Rajesh Khanna & that little boy whose step mom was so mean.

Anyhow, I really liked how in the end Vinod Mehra takes Sharmila Tagore home as if she’s his real mother. He gave such fabulous expressions when a man was getting mad at Sharmila Tagore for not working quickly.

Now coming to the song - Kishore Kumar has sung it well. In fact that would be an understatement.
These are pertinent questions. Only a person who could feel can raise them or understand them.

“Yeh kya hua?, Kaise hua? , Kab hua?, Kyon hua? , Jab hua tab hua, O chorro yeh na soccho!”

Anyhow I really like this stanza:

 “Hum kyon shikwa kare jhoote
Kya hua jo dil toota
Sheeshe ka khilona tha
Kuch na kuch tou hona thaa hua”

In fact bas yeh hee hota hai dil kay saath. It is like people think they have the right to break your heart. It’s some kind of a worthless toy for them. And taking someone for granted is a very old thing. Some people just stay rotten. You know same thing happens again & again.

There is too much pain in the song. It shakes one up. I mean only if you could feel it. It’s not for everyone.

Yehi Tou Hain Woh – Solva Saal

This is another fabulous song by Rafi sahab.

Dev Anand looked very cool in it & Waheeda Rehman was also a very pretty woman.

Solva Saal is one of my favourite movies & I don’t know how many times I’ve seen it. All the songs are amazing. The story line is good.

Well I like these lines:

“Haan wohi jin kay liye jaan di Farhad nay
Jungle jungle rota tha Majnu bhi jin ki yaad mein
Romeo chal basa jin ki tamanna liye.”

Dev Anand has given very mean & naughty expressions, but he looked really cool. However, later on, I don’t know what happened to him. He just lost his charm or what I don’t know. He seemed very childish in songs in his old age. Even Zeenat Aman looked far more mature than him. You can check out the songs ‘Aisay na mujhay tum dekho,’ & ‘nazara bheja kisi nay pyaar ka’ & you’d realize that I’m not exaggerating. But he was a cool dude in his youth beyond any reasonable doubt.

And this is a really fun song. I’m sure you too would enjoy listening to it.
